This page explains in plain words what the site does with the information it receives. The full legal text will replace it before launch.
Your email address
When you leave your address in one of the site's forms, it is passed to Systeme.io, the tool that sends Help! Press emails, for the sole purpose of writing to you. You check the consent box yourself before sending, and every email you receive has a one-click unsubscribe link. Your address is never sold, never passed on to a third party and never used for anything else.
Audience measurement
The site counts its visits with Umami, with no cookie and without identifying you. The Meta pixel is loaded only after you agree in the banner shown when you arrive. You can change this choice at any time.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information the website help-press.com (the "site") collects, why, with whom it is shared, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. It is written for visitors in the United States and includes the disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA), and by the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

The site does not collect sensitive personal information, such as health data, Social Security numbers, financial account details or precise geolocation. Please do not include information about your own health or your parent's health in the contact form.
Nothing is sold on the site, so no payment or shipping information is collected. Books are bought on Amazon.com, which handles buyers' information under its own privacy policy.
3. Who receives the information
Help! Press does not sell your personal information for money. It relies on the following service providers, which process the information on its behalf:

Sharing for advertising. When it is active, the Meta pixel sends Meta Platforms, Inc. information about the pages you view and your clicks toward Amazon, so that Help! Press can measure its ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people likely to be interested. Under California law, this may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can turn it off at any time (section 7).
Information may also be disclosed when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of Help! Press or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
In the past 12 months, no personal information has been sold for money, and none has been knowingly sold or shared about anyone under 16.
4. How long information is kept

5. Tracking by third parties and Do Not Track
When they are active, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel collect information about your visits to this site and may combine it with your activity on other websites over time. Umami does not.
Your browser may send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, and the site does not currently respond to it. You can still turn off Google Analytics and the Meta pixel at any time with the button on the Cookie Policy page.
6. Your privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information about you has been collected, where it came from, why it was collected and to whom it was disclosed, and to get a copy of it;
- Delete personal information collected from you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights. Using them never changes your access to the site or to the email updates you asked for.
The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information does not apply, because the site collects none.
Residents of other states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and a growing number of others, have similar rights under their own laws, including the right to appeal a decision about their request. Help! Press honors requests from every state in the same way.
7. How to use your rights
- To opt out of sharing: use the button on the Cookie Policy page and choose to decline. The Meta pixel and Google Analytics stop, and their cookies are removed from your browser. Your choice applies to the browser you are using.
- To know, delete or correct: write to contact@help-press.com or use the contact form, saying which right you want to use.
Help! Press confirms receipt within 10 business days and answers within 45 days. If more time is needed, you will be told why, and the total will not exceed 90 days. To protect your information, you may be asked to confirm that you control the email address concerned.
You may ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. The agent must show your signed permission or a power of attorney, and you may be asked to confirm your identity directly.
If your request is refused, you will be told why. You can appeal by replying to that answer with the word "Appeal". The decision on appeal will be sent to you within 45 days. If you disagree with it, you may contact the attorney general of your state.
8. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and Help! Press does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe that a child under 13 has sent personal information through the site, write to the address above and it will be deleted.
9. Where information is processed
ÉDITIONS AU SECOURS LTD is based in Mauritius, and its service providers are mainly in the United States and the European Union. Your information may therefore be processed outside your state and outside the United States.
10. Security
Traffic to the site is encrypted, access to the information is limited to the people who need it, and service providers are chosen for their security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy is updated when practices change. The new version is posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, a notice will also appear on the site.
